Farellones & El Colorado General Information

Farellones was the first existing ski resort in the 1930’s to the east of Santiago that made a name for itself, back when the skiers had to ride on mule back and carry their skis on their shoulders to the peaks of the snowy slopes. In the past few years, Farellones has recovered its prestige as a mountain village with an offer of hotels and restaurants that recapture the Andean environment and the history of skiing in Chile. The skiing activities have recovered the attraction of slopes such as “El Embudo” (the funnel) and the “Cancha de Los Tontos” (slope for fools), all directly connected with the El Colorado, La Parva and Valle Nevado ski areas. Another attraction of the village is the large helicopter landing which, as of this season, will incorporate helicopter and heliski services.

How to get there

KL Adventure offers a 24 hr. daily shuttle service info@kladventure.com departing from Santiago airport, hotels and KL Adventure Ski Shop located at the main road that access the three main ski areas. Avda Las Condes 12,207 right next to Unimarc Supermarket, Salco Brand pharmacy, and banks. From this point there is easy access to El Colorado, La Parva, and Valle Nevado.

Ski Slopes & Ski Lifts

The El Colorado-Farellones combination offers 19 lifts: 4 high capacity triple chairs, one double chair, plus 14 drag lifts. There are slopes for all levels of expertise, including one that may be the best available for beginners. At the top of the cone, there are exciting steep slopes for experts. In the "El Parador" building you can find stands selling lift tickets and many other services, including ski school, restaurants, rental shops, a bar, café and a discotheque.

Is a mountain lodge located on the slope called “El Embudo” in Farellones, it has direct access to slopes (Ski In – Ski Out), with one and two room apartments, with both a double bed and 4 single beds. They are fully equipped for 6 to 8 persons. They have room service, private bath, TV, audio equipment, and a fully equipped kitchen. The lodge has a heated pool, restaurant and the most spectacular view of Chile’s capital city, Santiago. Lodge Cordillera also offers breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner service as extras.

La Cornisa & Cono Este Apartments

Apartment buildings located just meters from the ski slopes at the base of El Colorado and are mostly superior category. Both buildings are interconnected and enjoy a heated pool.
