Valle Nevado General Information

Located in the heart of the majestic Andes, Valle Nevado is Chile's newest ski resort, located a mere 58 km (36 miles) from Santiago's airport has become a major South American destination resort. It neighbors the La Parva and El Colorado-Farellones ski resorts, and is linked to both areas through a combined lift ticket and by adjoining runs. Valle Nevado is a self contained resort with many additional amenities. Guests are entertained with live music, shows and entertainment scheduled all week. There is child care, an outdoor heated soaking pool, sauna, massage service exercise room, varied boutiques, a mini-market, bank and a medical center. Skiers looking for an adventure can try Helicopter Skiing or tandem para-sailing. The Valle Nevado ski school has English speaking instructors and guides for hire by the hour or the entire day.

How to get there

KL Adventure offers a 24 hr. daily shuttle service info@kladventure.com departing from Santiago airport, hotels and KL Adventure Ski Shop located at the main road that access the three main ski areas. Avda Las Condes 12207 right next to Montecarlo Supermarket, Salco Brand pharmacy and banks.

Ski Terrain and Ski Lifts

Valle Nevado is a huge ski resort offering many acres of skiable terrain and 40 miles of groomed runs. All skiing is done above the treeline. Skiing options off all lifts are endless, with numerous ridges and bowls. There is always a groomed run or two for every lift, otherwise it's pick your own route and go. Most marked runs at Valle Nevado are rated intermediate with a few rated experts. The surrounding mountains also offer superb possibilities for off-piste skiing, these are recommended with a guide from the resort. Beginners are well served by 4 lifts at the base of the resort area. Skiers can also ski La Parva and El Colorado, 2 areas located in the valley just below Valle Nevado by purchasing a lift pass upgrade once at the resort. Farther below, Valle Nevado has outstanding natural half-pipes.

Lodging

The resort offers 5 lodges, The Hotel Puerta del Sol, The Hotel Valle Nevado and the Tres Puntas Hotel. All have their own hallmarks but each one provides comforts necessary for recovering from an exciting day on the ski slopes. All activities are located around the three hotels and the base village area. Meal options vary for the three hotels. Beside the Hotels offer, Valle Nevado offers Mirador del Inca and Valle del Sol condominiums. These are 2 bedroom units sleeping up to 8 guests. Mirador Del Inca Condos include daily cleaning service and swimming pool access.
