Tour Description

The trek in to Plaza Francia base camp, at the base of the south face of Mt Aconcagua, is a spectacular four-day trip offering magnificent views of one of the toughest climbs in the world: Aconcagua’s southern wall. Almost 3,000m in altitude, and with an impressive succession of rocky layers and hanging glaciers, the south face is one of the largest mountain walls on earth. At 6,959m, (22,831 ft) Mt Aconcagua is the continent's highest peak and a magnet for mountaineers from around the world. This world-class trek provides the opportunity to experience the stunning beauty of the central Andes and come face to face with the awesome power of this mythical mountain.
