KL Adventure as Sports Events Organizer
In the winter of 1987, two renowned skiers, an American world speed skiing champion Steve Mc Kinney, the first man ever to pass the 200 kilometers/hour barrier on a pair of skies and Chilean Joaquín Oyarzún, Ibero-American speed skiing champion, founded the first private sports company dedicated to promoting the "kilometro lanzado" and new talented skiers.
KL Chile was born. The company's early efforts soon gave good results with the new record by Cristian Anguita, clocked at over 200 k/h, and later his 13th place ranking at the 1992 Winter Olympics at Albertville, France.
In the early 1990s, KL Chile became active in promoting mega events around the world, such as the Paris-Dakar Rally, the Pharons Rally, Tour de France, World Mountain Bike Championship, and the Winter Olympics at Albertville, Lillehammer and Nagano, Japan ensuring their broadcast on Chile's major television stations and coverage in the leading news media (Chilevisión, TVN, Megavisión, La Red, and El Mercurio).
During the years 1996, 1997 & 1998 KL Adventure was involve in all snowboards and Seniors alpine race organization with weekly events in main ski areas in the Central Andes such as Valle Nevado, La Parva & El Colorado ski resorts.
Since 2004, KL Adventure has been producing all the logistics for the sports races know as Defis Des Andes, Etoile D`Atacama and Le Defi Austral (Patagonie-Ushuaia) for the French Co "Nature Extreme Developpement" who organizes tourist sport races all over the world!
